The project is undertaken along with Energy Management Center (EMC), Kerala. The initial installation of 20 kW with two basins alongside each other is in place. The power generated from the plant is evacuated to the LT grid. After operating the unit for a season and having a first-hand view of the variations in water quantity and head, more such installations will be placed in the area in cooperation with EMC.
